Helping Make Organisations More Sustainable

The impact of greenhouse gas emissions is firmly established as one of the most urgent issues facing the human race.

Nationally and globally it will take decades to evolve an appropriate mix of sustainable solutions to our dependence on declining carbon energy sources.

In the meantime we can all be certain that social, political, legal and financial pressures aimed at reducing carbon emissions and increasing renewable energy sources will increase progressively.  Greater and more frequent extremes of weather are adding to the pressure to act.

As Hilary Benn, Secretary of State at Defra, said at the June 2009 launch of The UK Climate Projections: “There is no doubt about it – climate change is the biggest challenge facing the world today. Climate change is already happening – the hottest ten years on record globally have all been since 1990. This landmark scientific evidence shows not only that we need to tackle the causes of climate change but also that we must deal with the consequences.”

The Green Consultancy has 17 years experience of working with businesses and other organisations to help them meet these challenges and on this website you will find information about how we can help you to:

  • Reduce the energy and water consumption of your organisation – and the associated carbon footprint.
  • Comply with legislation such as Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC)
  • Audit your other environmental impacts and implement an environmental management system such as ISO14001 or Green Travel Plan.
  • Embed a carbon reduction or sustainability strategy in your organisation from top to bottom.

Our approach is to complement your in-house resources, respond positively to your needs and exceed your expectations.

We offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet your needs and it is impossible to list everything we do so if, in spite of using the search facility, you don’t find what you are looking for or need more information please contact Michael Webb.
