Energising the Workforce Workshops
One of the fastest-acting and most cost-effective measures you can take to save energy is to motivate and educate staff and surveys show 60-80% of organisations are trying to do just that. Yours is probably one of them and maybe it is your job to make it happen.
However well you manage energy, however energy efficient your buildings and plant are, without the active involvement of staff at all levels valuable energy will be wasted – lights left on, windows and doors open, automatic controls over ridden. Good energy management is the job of every member of staff.
To achieve this it helps to know something about:
- persuasion techniques
- the psychology of the workplace
- how to monitor results.
Why not spend a day improving your knowledge and skills with a small group of other like-minded people?
Topics covered
- Establishing objectives for behavioural change
- Finding out about current attitudes: questionnaires vs interviews
- Communication: key principles
- Institutional obstacles and opportunities
- Coordination with other initiatives
- What really motivates people?
- Changing behaviours
- Rewards (including the tax implications)
- Unintended consequences
- Training: identifying needs and running courses
- Measuring the impact
- Maintaining the impact
- A role for top management

You will receive two recommended textbooks in advance to read before the day.
