The Green Consultancy has been working for private and public sector clients since June 2009 to prepare them for CRC and to manage the ongoing requirements of the scheme.

 

Our CRC services are designed to support full participants to:

 

  • meet CRC legal compliance obligations
  • understand the implications behind CRC
  • integrate CRC with other aspects of the participants operations – systems, management and reporting, corporate social responsibility, financial management, energy management, facilities management

 

In particular, we can:

 

  • address specific aspects of CRC or all of them
  • work on a fully outsourced basis or alongside in house resources
  • act as your nominated CRC agent
  • review or create Carbon Management Plans

 

Internal Audit


The scheme requires participants to carry out an internal audit, signed by CRC responsible senior staff member, to ensure that the scheme's legal requirements are being met.  Key checks are as follows.

 

  • Fully registered with all relevant meters and consumption accounted for
  • Review of Footprint report and annual report
  • Assess data gathering/identification/storage procedure
  • Cross check data and source list provided by client with Environment Agency evidence pack criteria
  • Rate evidence pack in relation to Environment Agency benchmarks: Compliant, Compliant with Good Practice, Compliant with Best Practice
  • Recommendations to reach: Compliant, Compliant with Good Practice, Compliant with Best Practice

 

Evidence Pack

 

Implementing improvements to meet Environment Agency and internal requirements, including advising on dedicated software as appropriate – fully outsourced or supporting internal resource.  Managing the evidence pack – keeping all records up to date.


Annual Report

 

Ensuring the annual report is completed accurately and submitted on time – fully outsourced or supporting internal resource.
