Metering, Monitoring and Targeting (MMT)

If you cannot measure it, you cannot manage it.

A key element in reducing energy consumption is the ability to closely monitor and control how energy is used. Most energy users fail to do this.

The ability to cost-effectively monitor and control electricity, gas and water has grown enormously in the last few years with the cost of equipment and installation falling substantially. Systems can now be installed and operated wirelessly and be website controlled from your desk top. They can also be integrated into Building Management Sytems (BMS) although this is not necessarily the ideal solution.

You can learn much more at a Monitoring & Targeting Workshop.  As you will see on that page, they are highly recommended by participants and satisfaction is guaranteed.

Automatic Monitoring and Targeting (aM&T)

Automatic Monitoring and Targeting is a management process that delivers energy and financial management information - so that energy managers can identify and reduce energy waste and cost.  A Carbon Trust Advanced Metering Trial identified cost savings over 12% and on some sites they can be much higher.

The 'a' for automatic is a key ingredient in allowing measurement, data collection and analysis to present those managing energy with accurate and timely data and analysis at their PC - allowing managers to take action rather than spend their time collecting data.

Smart and Advanced meters are an integral part of aM&T.  aM&T is also important for financial management given the large number of estimated bills that occur and the resultant uncertainty of financial provisions.  Finance is also at the heart of managing the new Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) to minimise the exposure to carbon taxation.

We can design and implement Metering, Monitoring and Targeting systems, appropriate to your organisation, to drive down consumption and comply with legislation.  We can also audit and optimise the performance of existing systems.
