Externally, as one of the UK’s leading independent energy consultancies, by providing energy management and sustainability advice to non-domestic energy consumers – in particular, to help them to reduce their carbon emissions.

Our impacts

As our most significant impact is to help businesses and public sector organisations reduce their carbon emissions. We recognise that in pursuing these objectives we can impact the environment.

Our most significant adverse environmental impacts are:

  • Carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere from the use of fossil fuel based energy and consumption of electricity in our offices;
  • Greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere from the use of fossil fuels for our business transport requirements;
  • Production of waste in the office;
  • Use of paper in the office;
  • Indirectly, the environmental impact of our suppliers and consultants.

Our Commitments & Objectives

Internally we are committed to continuously improve our environmental performance and seek to minimise our negative environment impact by:

  • Complying with relevant environmental legislation, regulations and other relevant requirements;
  • Continual improvement by regularly reviewing our environmental management system;
  • Implementing systems that meet the requirements of ISO14001 as a certified environmental management system;
  • Influencing business and public sector organisations to take a leadership role in carbon emission reduction;
  • Influencing our supply chain by communicating our Environmental Policy and promoting environmentally sensitive approaches by our, suppliers and consultants;
  • Minimising the amount of waste and consumption of resources through reduction, recovery and recycling;
  • Minimising the amount of paper used by printing only when necessary;
